The current situation will have a significant impact on our heritage railway; in light of government advice, the Railway suspended all operations on 23rd March, just 5 days before our 2020 season was to begin.
As we don’t run trains in January, February and much of March our finances are at their lowest and we continue to have ongoing costs even if we aren’t running trains.
Many heritage railways have now launched appeals to keep their essential services going; and we are going to do the same. We understand that many of you will already be supporting others both practically and financially and we hope you understand why we have launched our appeal.
Your generous donations will help to support the Railway until such time as we can run trains again. Thank you very much in advance for your support.
